
As part of a plyometric -- meaning explosive -- exercise circuit this morning, we worked our arms and abs as well as got the heart pumping with some medicine ball slams.
Here's how to do it:
1. With your feet hip-width apart and the knees bent, hold a medicine ball above your head.
2. Next, activate the abs instead your back muscles and slam the medicine ball forcefully into the ground.
3. At the bottom, your knees should be bent as you squat down to pick up the ball
4. Repeat for time
Simple medicine ball slam circuit:
1. Soccer taps on medicine ball x 60 seconds
2. Triceps push-ups on medicine ball x 12
3. Medicine ball slams x 12
4. Reverse lunges x 12
A very effective total body workout when you're tight on time! Repeat for 2 - 3 rounds
